"The cottage, landscape and location were all great. The cottage itself was very clean and had all the amenities you would need for a short or long stay; including an extremely comfortable bed. The landscape was well-kept, private and the gazebo on the pond was a great relaxation spot. It is driving distance to several state parks and hiking spots along with restaurants & shops in beautiful Western MA towns like Stockbridge. A Slice of Heaven
"From the minute you arrive you realize that you have found a slice of heaven. I was tempted not to write a review because I want to keep this slice of heaven a secret. Beth is a gracious host and is available if you need her and invisible if you don't. The cottage, as others have noted, is well equipped and immaculate. The gardens, pond and grounds are well maintained. The bed is extremely comfortable and the air conditioning kept the cottage comfortably cool. We spent a pleasant afternoon under the gazebo and swimming. We were so relaxed that it was hard to motivate ourselves to explore the area. "My wife and I just finished our fourth annual stay, this one longer than ever by several days. We just can't get enough of the peace that this place offers. We are swimmers, so the private pond cannot be beat. The grounds are beautifully kept and afford many lovely views. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and surprisingly commodious, perfect for two. Twenty to thirty minutes away in any direction are charming towns and more cultural offerings than we could even begin to keep up with. (18 minutes to Tanglewood, where we heard Joshua Bell this year). And Beth is an absolutely devoted hostess, eager to make any improvement that will enhance your stay. Absolutely gorgeous
"My wife and I needed a weekend getaway and we decided on this property. It's absolutely gorgeous set in the woods on the owners property but a safe private distance away. We actually never saw the owner and have the full use of the entire property which includes a beautiful garden and a nice pond walk as well as outdoor seating and lounge chairs a table and a Pergola that overlooks the pond and has stunning views of the woods and the foliage. The owner was very nice on the phone and very prompt whether it was phone or email. The house itself is small but surprisingly large on the inside that has a separated small kitchen and opens up into a studio with a large bed that is looks more like a large boutique hotel suite. It was beautifully appointed and very clean. We plan on going again as it's conveniently located about 20 to 25 minutes to Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee and about 35-40 minutes to Great Barrington and the drives are absolutely magnificent" - Jamison
